Program Details
The Sunlight Enrich Outreach Program is designed to extend our support beyond our residential facilities, reaching out to vulnerable pregnant women and mothers in the community. This program aims to provide essential resources, education, and emotional support to help women navigate their challenges and improve their overall well-being and ability to parent.
Resource Distribution
We provide critical supplies such as baby formula, diapers, clothing, and hygiene products to mothers and their children.
Resource Location
We maintain the most current and comprehensive registry of free resources for mothers and babies and assist Enrich Participants in locating any supplies we are unable to provide ourselves.
Blessing Bags
Pregnant Enrich Participants receive a free diaper bag filled with pregnancy and baby essentials that are hand-picked, for the mother, based on her specific needs and the items she includes in her wishlist.
Educational Workshops
Our workshops cover a wide range of topics, including prenatal and postnatal care, nutrition, parenting skills, and child development. These sessions are designed to empower women with the knowledge they need to care for themselves and their children effectively.
Financial Literacy and Planning
Participants receive guidance on managing their finances, creating budgets, and planning for their future. Our financial literacy sessions aim to build confidence and promote financial independence.
Social Events and Support Groups
Our social events and support groups provide a safe space for women to share their experiences, gain emotional support, and build a sense of community. These groups foster a network of peer support and encouragement.
Spiritual Guidance
Participants are invited to engage in Bible study and attend church services, offering spiritual support and a faith-based community that nurtures their spiritual growth.
Employment Support
We assist women in finding employment through job readiness training, resume building, and interview preparation. Our employment support services aim to help women secure stable and fulfilling jobs.
Community Integration
Our program helps women connect with local resources and support networks, fostering a sense of belonging and community integration. We work to build a strong support system that continues beyond our direct involvement.
Love and Support
Enrich Program Participants have the love and support of Sunlight staff. When they call our office, they know they will reach someone who cares about them and their child(ren).
